Regenerating Magnetic Recumbent Bike | Marcy ME-706

This bike was easy to assemble, but overall its just OK. The features are lacking. The machine compter operates onbatteries, when installing the batteries become loose and if one is just a little loose it does not operate correctly, I had to let the case dangle. A plug would be a big added cost? No usb. The seat may be padded but its hot. otherwise it does what it says, resistance and setting ok. Essentially you get what you pay for, it may be a value buy, I like our Marcy weight equipment, for 100 dollars more it would be worth it to have a plug and a few more features

My husband and I use this bike regularly. It securely handles 225 lbs. It was easy for my neighbor to put together for us in about 1.5 hours. He is handy. We are not. Delivery time was reasonable considering the pandemic. The read-out is great. Sturdy bike. I would buy it again.

Both my wife and I have knee problems and are in our mid-70s. Prior to Covid19 we were regular users of the workout equipment at our local YMCA 3-4 times a week. Working out on a recumbent bicycle was one of our go to exercises. Even though our YMCA has reopened we are reluctant to return to our previous work out schedule at the Y because of our increased risk for exposure to the Covid virus. We decided to look for a recumbent bicycle for our home. We searched for options and found the Marcy ME-706 as a mid-level priced recumbent bicycle. The factory price was better than Amazon! It arrived in one box delivered by UPS. Our exercise room is on the 2nd floor so we unpacked the box on the 1st floor and carried the unit upstairs in pieces. The small parts were shrink wrapped individually and each part was illustrated and identified. The illustrations correlated with the pictures in the assembly manual. The tools for assembly were included and well machined. I have put other items together in the past and parts and instructions left something to be desired. The entire assembly process was less than 1.5 hr for one person. I did the assembly on a 2' x 4' table to save my back. Once the lower items were assembled, I moved the unit to the floor to complete assembly of the pedestal, handle bars and monitor. The monitor is easy to operate and allows 4 users to individualize separate programs. The letters and numbers are easy to read. The resistance is easy to adjust. The seat slides and is easy to change positions between my wife and myself. The locking mechanism for the seat is secure and easy to use. The unit is quiet during exercise and allows our TV to be operated at normal volumes. We bought a pad to place under the bicycle to protect our carpet and recommend purchasing a pad. Both my wife and I are using the bicycle daily and are glad to be back in a regular exercise mode. We rate this machine 5 STARS for assembly and ease of use. Selected this bike after reading many comments from users of other bikes. It hs all the features and quality I was looking for. It is very quiet, seat is comfortable, and seems to be well engineered and made. Haven't used all the programs yet, but there are plenty of options. Buy directly from Marcy and save significant money compared to Amazon, sporting goods stores, etc. Definitely recommend this bike.

Assembly was not difficult.....No problems except for the speaker.

This is a great Christmas gift because of the pandemic we can stay active and maybe loose a little weight. Easy to assemble and even easier to use.
